Wayne pudding Mol Posted April 4, 2019 Share Superb weight!not going to pretend I'm not a weight weenie despite packing an extra 5kgs (ok 10) I currently have the 32SC and with the way I ride its more than I'm ever going to need but the new planned bike is designed around 120 travel so I got this. Maybe it will encourage me to up my skills (or start typing in the broken bones threads) peetwindhoek

Maybe it will encourage me to up my skills (or start typing in the broken bones threads) The kind of cross over Marathon/Trail forks and bikes is really quite a nice sweet spot for many riders out there. Why save a kg by riding a XCO race bike when a 120/130mm travel ?XCM/Trail bike is more fun, versatile and forgiving? If not racing elites, or age category colours why limit yourself to a more nervous, focused machine? That 34SC is such a sensible buy if you can afford it and the rest of the bike its attached to! matthieup
ZXR Posted April 4, 2019 Share I have been collecting parts for a few months for a new bike build early 2020 and wanted to boast about them later but this seems a good moment to show this off - that's out the box, uncutMine was with the steerer cut to 170mm and manual lockout. droo Posted April 4, 2019 Share There is also this... https://www.sram.com/rockshox/products/35-gold-rl Seems like a good budget option, bit sure on it's availability yet. We won't see them here for a while yet, and my guess is they'll be somewhere between the Lyrik and Pike chassis in terms of stiffness, but roughly the weight of a sheet anchor. Definitely looking forward to having an easily serviceable budget trail option out there though.
