Eagle drive train durability

Hi there,
I am running Eagle X01 now for 10 months on my XC bike. After 2200km on trails and races the chain is still refusing the 0.5% chain gauge. This seems way better than the 11s or 10s chains that I had in the past. I am used to change 11sXX1 chains every 1500km and retired my 6500km XX1 cassete onto the commuting bike. It looks Eagle will be even more durable....

Your own experiences with that?

I've heard the xx1 and xo1 components are refusing to wear but apparently many of gx cassettes are now capping themselves

Glad I didn't buy one

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe for interest sake let's keep this thread going. I am going to change my chain at 0.5%. Let's see when this will happen :)

X0 and XX is bulletproof. GX doesnt last nearly as long but also doesnt cost nearly as much...

At the end it is the running cost that counts... The initial investment is just part of it.

keep a hand on this. depending on the chain the wear rate tends to increase exponentially once 0.4% is reached

IMO the the XX1 is the best value option per km. Obviously it hurts when you make the initial investment. Or maybe X01 with the gold chain. I have both running on different bikes, the XX1 showing nothing on my park tool gadget 2200 in and the XO1 with a gold chain also not registering but only 1200 on this
