Duathlons offroad

Been out of SA for 2 years, and want to do offroad duathlons again (Gauteng mainly)

 

Seems the Annual Duathlon series that was so dominated by Brand Du Plessis is no longer being held.

 

Only events I can find is the ones held by Cowhouse, next one 2nd of June, and then Cradle moon in September.

 

Any I missed?

Afriman Duathlon in the far North of Pretoria used to be quite popular, cant find a link to the details but it used to be in the Spring if I remember correctly.

DualX. Those were fun. I did most of them. Brand was untouchable until the caveman decided to do one. Pity they no longer.

Just a note, only the run portion of Afriman was offroad. the cycle leg was on the road.

Yes, they were well organized. There was the ones at Babbas lodge also, but they also died a slow death, probably Afriman with it.

I remember earlier the year they also started Cyclocross at Cowhouse, but not sure how that panned out.

Nicely priced at Cowhouse compared to the fee for a full triathlon these days.
