Sram xd freebody , casette options?

Ok, so I bought a wheelset for my Cannondale Scalpel from a fellow hubber as a spare training set. My si3 has Shimano Xt and xtr 1x11-46 groupset. The rear wheel has the Sram xd free body. Would like to stay with Shimano but seems I then have to change hubs as well. Is there a beter (cheaper) option or is a Sram 10-42 casette the only option?

uless you buy a new freehub then yes thats your only option , e13 have a selection but they are quite expensive

what year is your cannondale?  and the model that the wheelset came off?

I have two wheelsets that were changed from Shimano to Sram by just changing the driver body.  (2017 Scalpel with C Zero Hubs)  So, it suffices to say that you can change back from SRAM to Shimano quite easily.

I have a Shimano freehub body laying around somewhere, if it'll fit your wheel.

My si 3 is 2017 and the wheelset came of the Cannondale scalpel SE.(2018/19)The SE model has the formula hubs so not the same as my current set with C zero hubs. Was hoping to just push a xt cassette on but clearly not wth the Sram free body.

I have a set of wheels with a formula hub that I wont mind changing to xd. Maybe have the freehub removed and post a pick of the back side that sits in the hub. Im sure there are others that would also maybe want to swop with you if the have a compatible shimano version
