That could possibly work - to keep costs on the down low I will cycle there  :eek:

Either way will have to make a long weekend out of this.................

Seems 100 mile gravel grinders is the new craze.

 

Guess it is easier money for event organisers than stage races.

 

I wonder what route will they take out of the Franschhoek valley? Likely it will be a tar road -  mix of tar/gravel like the Swartberg Gran Fondo?

I think the registration is a fishing exercise to see if there is  interest,  not a bad thing.

Race to the Sun was full and capped at 2000 entrants................Race to the Sea should attract more, but the Capetonians are a difficult bunch. Most entrants would probably be Gautengers looking for a fun long weekend.

The thing about 2000 entries and RttS being sold out... the results show only 1616 entries - and that number seems to include all the did not starts.
