Skubarra Posted May 31, 2019 Share Seems 100 mile gravel grinders is the new craze. Guess it is easier money for event organisers than stage races. I wonder what route will they take out of the Franschhoek valley? Likely it will be a tar road - mix of tar/gravel like the Swartberg Gran Fondo? Hamstring Posted May 31, 2019 Share I think the registration is a fishing exercise to see if there is interest, not a bad thing.
coppi Posted May 31, 2019 Share I think the registration is a fishing exercise to see if there is interest, not a bad thing.Race to the Sun was full and capped at 2000 entrants................Race to the Sea should attract more, but the Capetonians are a difficult bunch. Most entrants would probably be Gautengers looking for a fun long weekend. Edited May 31, 2019 by coppi Danger Dassie, Milkman and TALUS
MudLark Posted May 31, 2019 Share The thing about 2000 entries and RttS being sold out... the results show only 1616 entries - and that number seems to include all the did not starts.
