Rear Brake vibration MTB

Mine are the RT62 M rotors of which the rear one shudder a lot when braking hard moving toward stand still. At higher speed and light braking it is all fine. I will take them apart later today to see if there are pieces missing on the sides of the pad from any "grating"

I will had these, they were terrible.

Moved to XT and 1000% better. No vibration and stronger braking.

Check if the rotor is flat, all mounting screws tightened properly and spins without wobbling.

Check that the caliper is mounted correctly with no rubbing of pads, all mounting screws tightened down correctly.

If the caliper is a multi-piston type, check if the pad is contacting flat on the rotor. If not, there might be more wear on one side than the other, indicating the caliper pistons might need some cleaning so they move in concert.

So ....   I took the brake pads out and could not see anything strange.  They are still as good as new.    I gave them a bit of a scrub with Sunlight liquid and goldy locks and put them back.  Then  I gave the rotor a very quick scrub also and dried it.   Went out for a ride this morning and all shuddering was gone! - brakes also feel great!

Can't believe that a little bit of dirt could make so much trouble.
