Howdy guys and girls.

A friend of mine wants to get rid of / donate old cycling kit, instead of just throwing it away.

Is there a place he can send it to that will distribute it to people who can use it?

Depending on where you're based... Some bike shops collect on behalf of charitable organisations

If in CT, Olympic Cycles or Crown cycles have these collection bins in store (as an example)

Copperlake Brewery in Broadacres have a Charity bin,

They collect all sporting goods and distribute to up and coming sports kids and youths

Frosty's club collects cycling goods for development riders but they in Germiston.

Thanks Cyclewizz.

We have two development groups linked to the club, and will have the box available again at our race for donations of old clothing. If October is a bit too far away, like Germiston*, I’m sure any place that uses it will welcome the donation.

* we’re actually (mostly) based on Alberton.
