Rugby World Cup 2019

I googled too. That would mean Scotland would progress as they would have won the match. However if Japan were to score the bonus point then they would.

I stand corrected, thank you.

Bonus Points are the order of the day then. Could become spicy as the teams start chasing 4 try bonus points against one another...

Of course.. Throw a typhoon in the mix and Ireland could only get 2 points for a draw against Samoa... And then it is possible that Japan and Scotland could go through if they play and Scotland wins

Funny you should mention that...

Thats exactly why I mentioned that! [emoji1]

The Japan v Sco game is also at risk, which would suit the Japanese, as they don't need the points, the Scots do....

If either the Ire v Sam or Jap vs Sco rains out I think Japan proceeds... right?

Yes.

Japan will only be eliminated if they lose to Scotland and do not score a bonus point assuming Scotland score the bonus point against Russia)

Funny you should mention that...

City of Toyota Stadium closes, so the NZ vs ITA game is fine

But JPN vs SCO is an open stadium...

Fukuoka (I love that name), is also open, which hosts IRE v SAM

So the Locals will be hoping for some rain....

Scots will hope the IRE v SAM rains out, but their own game against JAPAN still needs to by a Win for the Scots to progress.

Ireland goes through behind Japan if both games wash out.

Tournament in typhoon season?..... Must be the same guys who scheduled FIFA world cup in a boiling sandpit.

At least games can be moved at very short notice, not sure how that can actually work logistically, bitty if anyone can do it, it's the Japanese
