31 Days of Cycling

I keep seeing posts on Instagram about people committing to cycle every day this December, so, as I am ridiculously easily influenced, I have e decided to do the same. The goal is to cycle for at least 30 mins every day this month. Indoor, outdoor, spin bike, road, mtb doesn't matter. 

 

Anyone keen to join?

too late, I was out hiking in the Berg on the weekend.

 

30 days would have been easy, considering I managed 6 months from Jan to end June before picking up a really bad chest infection which forced me to bail from the 365 challenge.

Thats why I've specifically included indoor. Funny enough, I went cycling outdoors on Boxing Day a few years ago and ended up getting shot, but that's another story.

Next year is leap year, so try the 366 challenge. I’ve done one 365 challenge (2018) and while it takes some commitment it is doable. 30 mins a day, everyday for the year.

I am on it. You can put my name down. I am 2 for 2 so far. Only riding no indoor training.

Maybe SA is one of the few countries in which someone could post this and not get asked "What happened?"

Ha- I make it sound much worse than it was. I was out on Boxing Day on the mtb and some idiots were shooting clay pigeon in their back yard. Whilst I was on the road on the way to the trails, I got whacked by a bunch of birdshot. No real damage except a couple of pellets into the back of my hand between the glove and my sleeve, with my jacket stopping the rest. 

 

I did a great imitation of a lunatic when I got to the garden where the guys were shooting.
