Cyclist down in Camps Bay

Good Day

This was my husband, Pierre Malan who had a heart attack.

Thank you to his brother for starting the CPR and the Doctor that was on holiday who assisted

As well as the fantastic team of paramedics.

He was definitely surrounded by a team of angels that day.

It has been a scary two weeks, but I am happy to say he is looking better each day and hopefully will be back in the saddle in the near future.

What a first post!  I am glad to hear he is doing well.  I wish you as a family good luck and hope he makes a good recovery.

I saw another cyclist went down in Camps Bay today.

Probably the main reason I haven't ventured out yet.

Having ended up at emergency twice before, it's the last place I want to be right now.

I saw that too - lots of people helping him (and holding his head still).

Paramedics arrived just after we passed the scene.

 

I hope it wasn't anything serious and a full recovery is made.

The reason given for us being stopped from cycling during lockdown was that they didn't need anyone ending up in A&E :-(
