I can't answer your question but I can give you some questions to ask which will help you.

All spokes available in South Africa have 2mm threads. Some US manufacturers and some Asian manufacturers do make 1.8mm spokes but we don't see them here unless on special imports.

A 2mm nipple will screw onto an 1.8mm spoke but will strip under tension.  A 1,8mm spoke wont work on a 2mm spoke, so you can't make that mistake during the build.

Further, the length of the nipple is irrelevant wrt the length of the spoke. All nipples have a blank shank before the threads start and the thread engagement length is the same.

Therefore, ask if the nipples you like are 2mm nipples and don't bother about their length.

All this provided of course you are using standard 2mm spokes. The fact that they're butted or double-butted doesn't matter, the 2mm parts are at the bend and at the thread. The shank of the spoke can be any thickness, it doesn't affect the nipple.

I hope that makes sense and helps.
