WEAR GLASSES PEOPLE!!!

Even if they are clear lenses.

Protect your vision.

This is coming from someone with a prosthetic eye. You would be amazed how quickly a tiny branch or piece of sand can cause lasting damage to an eye.

agree on the wearing of glasses.

Having has bee stings very close to the eyes on a number of occasions I'd hate to think what would happen if that little critter were to hit me in the eye.

My helmet came with a visor, never attached it. Then for one mtb event, I decided to use it. It was the most irritating thing out. Took it off half way through. Having this shadow permanently over my eyes was too much.

Been doing both roadie and MTB, but like my photo, my wife reckon I looks kinda cool with the shades and afdakkie! And I listen to my wife.

Been checking out a few helmuts lately (might be in the market for you). Was to figure out which ones are for mtb and which are for road.

Did some research on visors: Rule of thumb that most MTB helmuts will have a visor and road helmuts not. Reason for is that road cyclist are generally in a more aggresive position and the visor would be in their way, while mtb riders not. Also that some MTB riders around the world prefer not to wear glasses because of the constant light changing condition in races (forest/open) and therefor want a visor.

But among our family members we are 50/50 with visors and non visors on mtb helmuts. Googled a few pro XC racers and most of them don't have visors.

Out of curiosity,

do you have a visor or not?

And is there a specific reason why you went with your option?

or didn't really care about it?

It sounds like people are referring to different sized peaks or visors.

The one is totally useless, while the other could be useful in certain applications
