Another Cyclist Down. Muizenburg/Strandfontein

Saw this on strava. Looks to have happened on Wednesday. By the looks of things from where strava said the picture was taken it happened between Muizenburg and Strandfontein.

Mornings Cedar family. Sad day today. Just a few minutes ago I received word of a cyclist that was knocked down on Baden powell.
They were 2 cyclists and heard a 14wheeler coming in a tremendous speed. The rider in front waved to get the drivers attention.
Unfortunately tht ddnt help. His friend was knocked by the truck and went under the truck

This is sad. That road is treacherous and I would not pedal a bike on it alongside traffic...

I drove passed the scene minutes after if happened, it was not a pretty sight. Only good thing I can say is he must have died instantly. I won't be back on a road bike for a while.
