What endurance MTB event is on is SA right now?

Caught the end of an interview last night on Jacaranda with Alex Harris, apparently doing some MTB endurance event right now and he is in day 5 of 26.

 

I first though Munga, but when they mentioned day 5 of 26 I ruled that out, what else is on right now

I doubt Alex will take 26 days though!

 

The cut off is 26 days with the winners usually getting home between 10 and 12 days.

 

It is awesome. That first 500km to Rhodes is brutal but usually done mid winter in July. I have pictures of us walking over frozen solid rivers and knee deep in snow on some portages.

Its the only local event that is on my bucket list. One day. I was entered 5 years ago, but then life got in the way, and there hasnt been an opportunity since. But i am trying to make it happen in 2022
