Hi all, I hope this is in the right section. But I couldn't find a "seller's advice" section so I thought this would be the closest fit.

I'm looking to sell my 2019 Titan Switch Elite. It's a great bike but due to moving a while back I find that I don't use it at all, opting instead for the MBT when the opportunity to cycle arises. The thing is, I have absolutely no idea what a decent asking price for this bike would be at market right now. So I was hoping I could get some rough ballpark figures before advertising it.

Attached are some photos. The bike is being serviced at the moment. According to the technician the chain is basically new, the cassette is at 75%, so everything is still in very good nick. There are some minor scratches on the frame but everything is superficial. I've never had a hard fall or anything like that on the bike.

The specs are: Shimano 105 Groupset (lovely groupset if I have to say so myself). 36-46t front, 11-32t back. The rims and brake are Titan Racing (brakes are mechanical disks, I would consider this the weakest point on the bike). Tyres in good nick. Tubeless conversion done. The bike was one of the first Switch Elites, I think the serial number is 07 or 09 or something like that. The frame and fork is carbon.

It really is a lovely bike and I'm sad to see it go.

This is the 2020 model, not 2019? They were retailing then at the high end at 30k, although some shops were doing them at 26-28K
Realistically you could get away with an easy 20k, maybe 24k if you sit for a while.

Heres a baseline for you, although some of these such as the comp are priced very much on the high side. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/gravel-and-cyclocross-bikes?s=Titan+Switch

Thanks for the reply!

I bought it early in 2019, just after they came to market, so I assume it has to be the 2019 model.

I think you might be thinking about the Switch Pro. Those retailed for around 30k, this is the Elite which was closer to 21k at the start. That's also why the prices on these listing don't really make sense to me. There's a Titan Switch Pro on sale for 24k (which makes more sense) and a Titan Switch Elite going for R30k which doesn't. But then, it appears that the  market really has changed in the last few years, because I see people selling aluminium gravel bikes with Claris groupsets on for 20K. That's why I'm at a loss as to how to price this one.

Oh ok, looking at the frame it looks like the 2020 mode with gloss on top and matt finish below. The 2019 models hard weird gloss on matt pixel graphics. Mate is the designer and I used to retail Titan. They do retain their value, likely due to a comparatively low retail pricing.

2019 Elite retailed +_ 22 - Pro 30

2020 Elite @ 26-28 and Pro 36+ as it was specced with carbon wheels as well as the Ultegra

2021 has seen equipment spec upgraded on both models.

Post lockdown the stock issues and the increase in cyclists have resulted in drastic price increases across the globe ....

Given the condition you may get close to the original price ... and dont be too surprised if one of the re-sellers grabs it up and re-sells it for mid-20's ...
