Berg & Bush Descent: One for the Bucket List

Disclaimer: before reading this please note that I have not done a stage race since Tankwa Trek in 2020, and the froth is overflowing. Don’t read this if you don’t want to pack your bags and go and ride bikes.

Prior to Berg and Bush I was convinced my love affair with stage racing had fizzled.

The covid years have not been kind to my morale, and I wondered why on earth I would travel half-way across the country to suffer tedious hours in the saddle, and a frigid tent.

Berg and Bush reminded me why I fell in love with the sport, and how privileged we are to live in this incredible country, and to be able to explore it by bike.

Great read! I concur, well organized and proper mountain biking. 

We have special topography in our country, with extreme contrast that is showcased by this event in all it’s splendor.
