The forward rake of the rear shock doesn't help at all. Maybe just maybe a tube strap/tool roll can fit between the bottle cage and the shock, but that will be trial and error. I have had 2 of those and they fall apart very quickly...rather get the plastic bottle type container...you can get some fairly long ones
guidodg Posted October 17, 2022 Share get a Tubolito spare tube [really tiny] and a mini-pump from Takealot. take some tyre plugs, a small patch of hard plastic or old piece of tyre to patch large cuts from the inside when inserting the tube so it doesn't bulge out spare valve and valve tool small flat multi bike tool with chain breaker spare chain quick link https://www.takealot.com/portable-mini-bike-hand-pump-set/PLID61094643 The pump is tiny and takes a bit to pump up an MTB tyre but its for emergencies only I fit all the above in a Specialized SWAT box no problem as in the pic another member posted Edited October 17, 2022 by guidodg
madmarc Posted October 17, 2022 Share 13 hours ago, GLuvsMtb said: https://bike-addict.co.za/products/speedmaster-case-cage-combo The small should fit. Solomons Woodmead have these as well - the short ones and the long ones c/w cage - I have the short one on my MTB seat tube. the best tool bottle i've used - It opens up like a clamshell so you don't have to unpack everything and you can actually fit in a lot of tools. A word of warning though. - the zip is very tight especially when you pull it through the corners any mud in the zip and it will jam - I found the zipper tab to be a bit flimsy and it actually broke on TB so i jerry rigged a stronger tab, the zip also started splitting open after it closed, I used a flat punch and smacked the zipper so its a bit tighter, after cleaning out the mud i used some chain dry lube on the zip - It now glides like an E-Bike up a mine shaft,

TheoG Posted October 17, 2022 Share I know its a bit off topic, but still relevant, for frames like mine where there is simply only space for one bottle, you can use this little sucker: https://evobikes.co.za/product/wolftooth-b-rad-double-bottle-adapter/ Allow 2 bottles to be mounted side by side, work 110% for me. Maybe be not for those with "Hulk" size calve muscles ... Edited October 17, 2022 by TheoG 117 and Dusty

117 Posted October 17, 2022 Share Get a holy rail from Lyne. You'll be able to mount the rail lower on the frame, then angle the cage with a shim. A side entry cage is your only option though Chat to Dayle at Lyne - he's very helpful: www.lynecomponents.com Landline: +2721 286 2352

117 Posted October 17, 2022 Share On the contrary Ouzo, that's a very small frame for the rest of the components
