Frontrunner makes tracks like this and then you slot roof racks into them and from there you ad the bike carriers. The tracks are pretty easy to diy.

Sorry, forgot to send the pics of the Skitch racks, but they might not work with that lid thing you have on your bakkie

A mate had a Ford with the same cover but aluminum that seems to be a good solid construction.  We fitted 2 Thule ProRides with wingBars using the Holdfast gutter extrusions and Thule gutter clamps bolted to the lid. He has had no issues and used for few years now.
