Any one have experience using these:  https://bicyclegarage.co.za/products/pressfit-bottom-bracket-86-92-sram-compatible-black

Please share your experience good or bad.  It seems like a good idea to have the bearings easily serviceable and replaceable.  I did however saw some reviews of the threaded part snapping off.

So before pulling the trigger I would like to get the input of all the bikehub experts out there .... :)

Rather go with this and either Bike Addict or Price Match at Cyclelab ..cost me R590 yesterday. Been riding one for 5 years and 13000km. I just change bearings.Screenshot_20230615_092008_Chrome.jpg.06d6520d2a93ec0c677308a42a5c837d.jpg

I would go with this in a heartbeat, only had good service from the ones I've bought ( i only ever bought two so sample size is small)

but I don't get why you would unthread it , proper prep on the shell and tightening that thing to torque should basically keep it there indefinitely.

22 on non drive side and 24 on drive side

Doesn't the Sram have 22 and 24 and the plastic insert on the DS to bring it down?

I would go for the wheels mfg before buying another of those plastic Shimano bb's

. I've heard the token and e13 ones are just as good but don't have personal experience

Plastic and pressfit shouldn't mix in my mind

I've been against pressfit my whole life but my last frame had a dub bb92 which lasted until that frame broke ( moerse impressed)

and maybe that more down to frame tolerances being better but the alloy cup also looks and feels alot more solid than a plastic one

New frame is threaded and the dub one is running lekker still so hopefully I'll never deal with this pressfit BS

I've seen both but on the OEM ones i think its always just been the bearing being smaller

It's 2437  on both sides with the insert dropping it to 22mm. I've run it with a 22mm bearing but was scared it might eat my spindle so got another insert. The OEM SRAM GXP BB's are good.

I hear you, I'm also not a press fit fan at all but unfortunately that's what I'm stuck with.

I have a token in at the moment, I just removed the cranks, cleaned, greased & re-torque, now its quite again ... 🤷‍♂️.  Maybe it just wanted a bit of TLC ... 🤪

I will see how it goes before installing the plastic XTR one ... 😊
