So, we are in the final stages of building the Scott. We started bleeding the brakes last night, but we haven't got all the bubbles out yet, so we'll finish in the next two days or so (busy busy weekend Cry)

So now we need to neaten up all the cable ends, finish the routing, and set up the seat height, and the rebound on the shocks. She's beautiful... but I'm worried about the short distance between the handlebars and seat. Am I being paranoid?

why's it so small? How tall are you? What size is the frame, why is the stem so long??? I've never seen one as long as that..

Thanks guys,

Marius, I bought the Scott frame second hand and it came in small. That's why I'm a 'little' worried about the size, but the geometry when we measured it out works out almost identical to my hardtail, so I'm hoping she handles OK. We've built it up little by little as the funds came through (!). I bought the frame in July and it has been an exercise in patience to wait to finish it!

I'll have to ride her to see how she handles, but I fit the upper limit for the frame, and I keep on hearing that you can afford to go a bit smaller on a full suss to give you extra maneuverability (OK, so I'm hoping it all works out)

I'll have to let you all know once I've ridden it...

Thanks guys, Daemon, we got a looong stem to counter the fact that the frame is a bit small. I'll need to try it out and see what the handling is like, see whether it's right or not.

Can't wait to get onto it so I can let you all know what it's like!
