I would scrap the Scott

1. It's an older model

2. The condition is not so good

3. It's too big for you.

The Cannondale looks good and comes a close second. I would go Specialized. You mention it's in mint condition and you are getting it from a bike shop. At least you know it has been serviced etc and you have recourse if something goes wrong.

Thank you Eugene. The Scott has been scratched, thanks to this community. The S-Works, my only concern is the rim brakes. I have been told to find a bike with disc brakes.

I didn't realise the SL6 came with rim brakes.

Personally, I think rim brakes are fine and do the job just fine, however, discs are the rage at the moment and maybe discs are the way to go.

The Cannondale is a good bike. Also, look at Titan as someone else mentioned.. You can get a new bike, with a warranty, close to your budget

I would also look at cyclelab, great festive deals at the moment. The new store in Paarl is keen to get deals done, so I’m sure they are worth a look also.

Thanks Murrob, I am going to Cycle Lab next week to have a look around.

Maybe try the Merida Range at Bikeaddict. A lot of bike within your price range. I am on a Reacto 4000 with a couple of friends on the Scultura 4000s. Looking at a new bike between 30 and 40. That's a lot of bang for your buck.

Maybe look at the Titan Valerian Carbon Elite? R45k brand new at Bike Addict at the moment, 12 speed 105, Carbon wheels bla bla, very nice looking bike for the money
