Hi - on a RARE day for me to wear my air pods,  i lost signal going through to Cape Point, and only LATER realized i had lost an air pod…was EXPECTING to lose signal after Seaforth area, then 15km later, wanted to hear rest of Podcast, but alas! Left airpod on the road…somewhere!

(I was 15+km passed where i likely lost it, so ‘no turning back’, etc!

If anyone picks/picked it up, Saturday morning, then case of beers or whatever…

gotta hope!

Two weeks ago my airpod fell out and i could not find it.. i propped my bike against a tree and i played music in the one i had in and when it started cutting out i knew i had gone to far..

buut why i bring this up, while walking around clearly looking for something some oke rode past and shouted “dude, your bikes over there.!” And that was hysterical.🤣🤣

i eventually found it and i was giggling all the way home..

Have you tried using the “find my” feature yet? Found mine this way.

Good idea, I am a child of the ‘60’s, so this ‘new-fangled-tech’ is always a LITTLE challenging, but EXCELLENT idea, I will try this! 🙏

Just remember that is the last known location before it lost connection. If someone picked it up and took it with them the map wont update, then you just have to hope someone reports it found, good luck with your treasure hunt 🤞🏻

Update; spent an hour, at the site, but unable to find it, real pity…

1. tried to do the ‘noise’ trick, to further assist location, but failed…

2. there was a fair bit of satellite ‘drift’, meaning although i stood still, i was ‘drifting’ 2 or 3 meters each way, at least on the iPad showing me the location…

Oh well, i really tried, thanks for the advice!

I don't use Apple so i may be mistaken. Does Apple not have a function like Smartthings that can search nearby items? Once you have located the general area switch to nearby then bluetooth kicks in and tracking is within cm. images(2).jpeg.c7f420d5b4799a3ffd9e783b1a65c20b.jpeg
