Are Provincial XCO Courses Aligned with CSA Standards?

I think it is utterly childish to post premature content like this. Anyone can post a picture of an unfinished project and call it bad. You did not bother to contact us and have discussions with regards to our track. And then you use an alias instead of your own name so that we can know who we are dealing with. (what are you afraid of?) You are not involved in the building of this track, which - by the way - is the best MPU cycling has seen in many years. We are finalising everything as we speak (see pictures attached). Danie Botha from Mpumalanga cycling inspected the track, and gave us the thumbs up. Videos and pictures were sent to CSA, and they are in extacy over this track. So who are you to make premature acusations like this. So madam, you can contact me directly on 0608491570 if you have any further concerns or questions. Please join us on Saterday and see for yourself first hand what this track looks like.

Hi,

Thank you, appreciate.

We are working on that, but the way things look, we will be all in when we host the TWK series in August. We will however post loads of pictures, videos and drone footage afterwards.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message. I’d like to start by clearing the air - my original post was never meant to discredit or undermine anyone’s hard work. I asked a sincere question about CSA compliance based on my experience at several other races. My goal was to understand how consistently CSA regulations are applied and enforced - something I think is fair to ask as a participant in sanctioned events.

I completely appreciate the effort that goes into building a track, and I have the utmost respect for those who give their time and energy to make these events possible. It’s great to hear that the course was reviewed by Danie Botha and that CSA is impressed with it - that’s reassuring news.

As for the use of an alias, it wasn’t done out of fear — it’s just the handle I use on this platform, as many people do.

I’ll do my best to come by on Saturday to see the course firsthand, and I look forward to seeing the final version and all the hard work come to life.

Good morning,

Thank you for this post, I do appreciate, and understand where you are coming from. This project is our biggest acomplishment for Ligbron MTB, and we therefore did everything according to book. Once again, thank you, and if possible, I would like to meet you if you do make it to our event. Best regards.

It’s inspiring to see the dedication and care that’s gone into building the track, and it’s clear this is a huge step forward for Mpumalanga cycling.

Out of curiosity, have you also been involved in helping to start or grow cycling at the school? It’s clear this track is a major milestone, and should be interesting to know how the cycling culture has developed at Ligbron.

Looking forward to the event and to seeing all the hard work in action.
