Which of these two would be the better choice?

What kind of riding do you mostly do? The dash is a fast racing bike with 100 mm travel and the other is for gnarlier stuff with 130/140 mm.

If you are only going to ride flat singletrack, gravel roads/jeep track, or even mildly technical stuff with no big drops etc, the Dash would be a nice light bike and 100 mm travel is plenty. Note that you have to fit your own dropper post if you want one.

The other comes with a dropper but would be overkill if you are never going to do steep or technical singletrack.

Mostly a mix of tar, gravel, single track and jeep tracks. Living in PE we have the Baakens Valley which I ride a bit but normally I try to avoid heavy tech stuff. I am 60 and don't bounce so lekker anymore

Maybe also the Giant Stance?

Both have SRAM SX which doesn’t have great longevity. If you can, level up to a model that comes with GX or Shimano Deore 1x12.

Well that will probably be in your favour in terms of specials as XL are slower movers than M and L. 

Have a look at Giant Trance and Silverback Stratos as well.

Thanks for your interest. 

Based on your riding, the Cypher will most likely be the best-suited option. The Skyrim is geared towards more technical riding.
