barring one very silly woman all the drivers were very courteous - so thank you to them all - hopefully karma saw to it that they all had a fabulous day as well.

thank you to EVERYONE who participated in any way - from the riders to the sponsors to the support crew - you all made this a fabulous event.

eish, were to start. Sammajoor already thanked all the people, so I will just give my take for the day.

Marshals, you guys can show anyone, anywhere, how it's done. Considering that none of you had communication between each other, you all knew where to be and when. Frikkie, thanks for being delivery boy. As people were taking there warmer clothes off, I was passing it to Frikkie, who in turn took it to the bus. To the riders, well done for all the waving at the intersections. I have never seen so many motorists, so patient, waiting at a green robot on a Sat morning. A LOT of them even waved backThumbs%20Up. To those that weren't there, please believe me when I tell you we went through some busy intersections and we never stopped once.

Sammajoor, your daughter looked like she had won a pageant, sitting on top of the convertable.

Nancy Drew, I am sorry. I never thought of mentioning that kids could come with as the bus has a DVD player.

Everyone involved in organising today, thanks so much, you guys were awesome. Special thanks to the marshals who made it feel like there were no cars on the road at all.

Will be back for the next one.

CryCry Thanks Man! I'm soooo sorry I missed this one.... ShaunH offered to drive the kids, but I had them whingeing and whining about how boring it was going to be and I didn't want to burden someone else with my brats...

a DVD player would probably have changed their tune!WinkLOL

I'm sure there'll be a next time!

Thanks to  Sammajoor, think bike, and all who made it possible.

It was a great ride - The think bike team were really great - some excellent traffic control and safety.

The ride started out cold - almost like winter, but warmed up to a nice temp later.

Respect to all there - u guys rock.

Just from my side, a big thanks to Samma, Shaunh, Pocketbikes, Cruzer and the Merc team, all the marshalls and everyone else involved. Without all your hard work and dedication this ride would not have been possible.Clap Clap Clap Thumbs%20Up It went off like a well oiled machine...Except the wheels didn't roll at 07:00 (It was damn cold waiting around for 10 minutes)Ouch

To all the cyclists that took part thanks for being so well behaved and good mannered. I think a few motorists out there have changed their attitude towards us.Thumbs%20UpClapThumbs%20UpClapThumbs%20UpClapThumbs%20UpClapThumbs%20UpClap

Sorry I was so unfit. I will train for the next HUBride so that you don't have to ride so slow for me.LOLEmbarrassed

I really enjoyed my first Hub Ride and, one self-imposed hiccup aside (see below) it went really well for me. I'll definitely make a point of being there for the next one.

I mentioned one hiccup. All I can say is that this is not a sight you want greeting you upon opening your boot at the start:

What can I say? at 5:30am they looked the same from the top.

A speedy trip home and back, followed by a 8km chase got me back into the group and from there, the rest of the ride was perfect.

Edit: A big thanks to all of the organisers and marshal. Clap
