I still believe that the race is bigger than any rider' date=' so I will continue to watch the event. [/quote']

Well said!

I love the way this guy goes on about the "triumphant" cricket tour! wtf? We drew the first test by some miracle, and won the 2nd. The series is not over yet. Let him watch the cricket tests and we can continue to watch the tour. I think saturday's TT will be a touch more interesting than golf too. Wink

What about all the doping in cricket. There was a Pakistani that thested positive after to indian pro 20/20 series. If cricket players are doping, then which sport is not? Maybe Darts.

Well, if a little doping for a cyclist would take down cycling, whats gonna happen to the rest of sport? In 1994 there was an article on doping in a bodybuilding magazine which didn't only covered the bodybuilding but sport in general that stated 99.9% of top level amateur and all professional sportsmen and women use steroids etc. And u don't wanna know whats going on in school and club rugby?

Exactly. Have you seen the size of school rugby players these days? I went to the Craven Week rugby in Wellington a few years ago and couldn't believe how big those boys are. It's not natural, no way!

Earleir this year I was standing outside Uncle Harry's garage and looking through the window I see a body building mag. On the cover it said something like "Which growth hormone is best for you?". They are not even hiding it.

was at my local pub about two weeks ago, and i wanted them to switch over to the cycling. some bonehead in the corner who was watching the coca-cola cup piped up: "i don't watch to watch those druggies". go figure...

I wouldn't go as far as calling it the Tour de Frace but I would agree with Tarr up to a point. Not being a big follower of cycling events I watch the Tour and "root" for the guy in the breakaway up the Col. Lately there has been this little light flashing in my head warning of possible dope test failures which does take away some of the pleasure. How many times has anyone found themselves transfixed by a Landis' date=' Rasmussen, Ricco breakaway only to found out a few days later the guy was running on Nitrox. Still enjoyable to watch but not the same.[/quote']

That is easy, just assume that they are ALL doping (as they probably are) and then the playing field is level.

Just have to hope your favourite doesn't get caught.

School boy rugby is rife with anaebolic steriods. You never about rugby players getting tested nor do you hear of anyones that was caught..Its normally a cover up story, saying this player has sustained an injury blah blah blah.. would be able to compete for a year or 2.

Out of the little test conducted in rugby to relation to cycling look how many has been caught.
