Friend of mine mention that if he order something from AliExpress, then he drops a note for the seller to ask that they don't send it with Imele, or he will request a refund. 

That sounds seriously excessive! 

I've circumvented the issue by just buying the unit from @guidodg sorted!

Ok, received my "nearly new" Geoid cc600 from @guidodg. Haven't taken it for a ride yet, but initial impressions after going through the setup process are positive. For the record I'm a long time Polar user who sadly had to transition into the Garmin head unit space a couple of years ago to get better battery life & navigation.

Comparing the build quality of the Geoid to my Garmin 530, the Garmin definitely wins with it's softer buttons and slightly more upmarket feel. However from a setup process the Geoid wins hands down! None of the totally unintuitive Garmin menus with ridiculous on device configuration needed. All Geoid setup is done via your mobile on the companion app, same process as Polar have followed for ages.

Hoping to take the Geoid for a test ride later this week before passing it on to my GF. Primary reason for purchase was to replace her Garmin 500 with a head unit that can connect to my Varia radar when riding together. Will post more feedback after that.

Used my 700 pro over the weekend and massive impressed with it. Upload of gxp file to strava was super easy and the app Geoid is using gives loads of stats and info of the ride. I'm a longtime Garmin user and still is with running, but this Geoid is really good buy for the price.

 

Got a powermeter on it's way now to and got some rubber casing from temu to that's on the way.

Got a cover from Temu for my 700 pro. They even added a screen protector and strap.  So extra spares for the box. And I think I paid like R45 for it or something.

Ok, the Geoid cc600 got a resoundingly positive review from the GF after this weekend's ride. Much easier screen to read than the Garmin 500 she had been using. Connected faultlessly to my Varia radar.

That's good news if swambo approves it. I spotted in my 700 pro settings that you can even control front smart head light. There some radar units on Ali to. Was busy checking them out this morning.

Jip!!! That's why I'm sitting and waiting for it. Paid skelm Meili customs to. It was R659. Just waiting for the parcel, then I will CC SARS and CPA in my next mail to them. Already ask for a import tax invoice with no responds.

I don't think you get a choice. It's Meili. Haven't had any issues with them.

It was me, I added a note on my order but they just send it. Think next time I need to eat some rice and type my msg in Chinese and send it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
