I see they changed the first part of the route, we dont go through town anymore, now basically an out and back on the Piketberg gravel road.

Pity 😞 the part they cut out is a lekker road. I assume it was difficult to get traffic permission to take the starting groups from the venue through the whole town.

Look, I’ve definitely had worse gravel, but I was very grateful to be running 2.1”s today.

My one out front mount bolt completely left the chat halfway through the race after some particularly rough washboard, so only got 45km worth of video and rode the second half “blind” with my Garmin in my jersey pocket.
