Berg & Bush Descent on a Hardtail

Thinking of entering the Berg & Bush Descent and doing it on a Hardtail, or should I rather go for the 2 day?

We've done it on HT's the past 2 editions. And we are on the wrong side of 50

I think there were about 4 of us.

 Those cattle trails are a bit much at the end of the stages,  but this year we will opt for 2.4 tyres and lower pressures and we will be good to go.  Same bikes....

You’ll be quicker on a dual sus but 101% doable on a hardtail - I might even be on one by then this year too.

Nothing wrong with doing it on a hardtail - done it myself.
