I honestly don't know why hubbers even bother responding to BigH postings. all they do is give him more opportunity to spew more garbage on the hub.

I think this is one of the most democratic forums on the net. On other forums and chat rooms most of us would be banned because of the strict rules they have regarding what is said and posted. however it's because of this democracy that the Hub has such a big following, which i think is fantastic.

So getting rid of Chit Chat won't solve the problem, people like Bigh will simply go to other forums and carry on spewing out his garbage. Furthermore if you start imposing to many rules people won't come back as it makes the place boring. even though, many topics are NCR and a few fights and slander happen, it still makes the Hub a vibrant, interesting and funny place to visit.

 

In my opinion admin should set the ignore function to include for postings and not just pm's.

 

I.E. If i elected to ignore a hubber in my PM setup then the ignore functions should work on all the topics i post as well, so that he cannot respond or post in a topic that i have started.

 

Furthermore i think the Hubbers in general should simply ignore all BigH postings and he will eventually go away.

i don't think admin means to do away with chit chat, just remove it from the latest posts box on the left of the page. further to my earlier suggestion, and if the page design allows, maybe there should be two "latest posts" type boxes. one for cycling-related matters and the other for chit chat.
