I've also got one but mine is in silver and has blue tyres, handlebar tape and saddle and my name accross the frame. I got is about 15 years ago as a gift from a dear old lady.

It weighs in at about 5 grams. It cost me about R17,000 (the cost of the return flightLOL. Actually 2 Euro's- R24.00. Good question Johan- I didn't pay enough attention if it was a single length of wire or not, but I think they are. He churns them out quick quick. The factory (in the pic below), has been manufacturing these bikes for 25 years. Just had a close look at it- and its just one wire. I guess that makes it a true monocoque. The ends are at the brake levers.Ying%20Yang 

 

I think that spokes would be too stiff?

I am one and proud of it. That does not mean I wear yellow lycra booties on the MTB. Wink
