Engela Conradie Posted November 21, 2006 Share Chrissie, from your post on the Racing section about the ladies race on Sunday you said that I rode with Proline!! I just want to clear up that I DID NOT RIDE WITH THEM!! I am not sure if you were in the same race as we were but if you was you would have seen that when I attacked on one of the last uphills before the finish that it was Proline who closed me down!! Yes, I am riding for them next year but I am a professional who respects my current sponsors to much (as they were the people who stood by me when things were rock bottom at the beginning of the year with my crash and all) to kick them and tell them that now that I am back on a pro team I won't do them justice anymore. The main reason for me being in the bunch and not trying to attack more and be more aggresive is that I had a gum infection and was riding on antibiotics and thus did not have the legs I hoped for on the day. I think Harmony has brought the ladies racing a new dimension and that the competition is good now with a few strong teams. I really hope that we will see aggressive riding from not only one or two people but that the teams will take responsibility for the racing and make the racing. moonlight Posted November 21, 2006 Share Kobie-Marie Hamman was lisenced a year or so ago, but was dissapointed with the negative style of ladies racing and the slower times in the lisence bunch.
