He came second in a 100 mile MTB race in ther Rockies on 11 August losing to 6 times defending champion by 1 min 56 seconds. Face it guys- Lance is the one to beat, and I personally do not think there is currently a cyclist to beat him- GO LANCE, GO...

Just checked next years TDF results, LA won by 8 secs, this sounds like it was rigged, thought they would wait at least a week before the tour before they decide who wins.

Although I assume he has discussed the comeback with Prudhomme, and given all sorts of guarantees to enable an entry.
