NotSoBigBen Posted September 23, 2008 Share Not a dumb question as it has been asked oft before .... The only reasonably logical reason I have seen is that when you have taken the wheels out the bike if you snap them forward you will have less chance of pulling them 'fully' with no rotor, thus preventing a trip to the price fixing LBS ......... Â I was told by the rep that it is for when the wheels have been removed then you push it forward.... to help with accedently hitting the brakes and compressing the pads together.... and then having to pry them apart again to get rotor back in....
