nope - its a turn around. the road is gated @ the end - you cant go in unless you want to go visit the water purification works. so you ride up' date=' catch your breath (and awesome views of false bay) and ride back down[/quote'] Cool!! The pic I posted is of sweeping twisties going forever (real Ducati heaven). Hit a front puncture on the way down at full gallop!! Needless to say me shatmeself!!

If anyone can do Pompstasie under 9min43sec, and prove it then let me know. Not my time by the way...

Gradient is 7.8% for around 4km. It's like Alpe D'Huez, just 10km shorter.

People actually do go up there and "pomp', even in the day. So it's not just the water purification that gives it it's name...

Don't have 25 so 21 or 23 will do the trick. however Groot Lem was doing multiple repeats in preoaration for this years Epic in his big blade.  (Power training you know)

As fo me I just pant and moan up them all. Now back to 90+ Kg's don't help either.

Oh well 8 to 10Kg's to loose befor the DC. Damn there goes the beer...........

Check out this baby.....  It is not for a cycle race, but for running.  We second the guys.  The runners easily put 30 to 50 min into us on this climb.  You wanted to throw your bike away.
