I took my new  Oakleys to my optometrist, and he sent them to Oakley in the U.S along with my prescrition, and voila, I got them back 6 weeks later with new Polar lenses made up to my prescription - and have not looked back since. Wasn't cheap, but on the whole worth it.

Sorry to kind of hijack this post but has anyone had any experience with those photochromatic (?) lenses? Good/Bad? Waste/Worth the money?

How do you rate yours Marius?

I don't ride without them. Great for MTB where you're in varying light when riding in forests etc.

Good advice. Never look back in a bunch...

I have Rudy Rydons with the Photochromatic Clear lenses, which I wear with prescription inserts; a great setup, I am delighted with them.

The Photo Clears are like having two sets of glasses in one - they are perfectly clear for riding outside of daylight hours, and quite adequate for day-time riding as well, although I may be tempted to get to get a set of 'daylight' Photo or Photo/Polarised lenses at some stage in the future, but for my needs right now the Photo Clears are fine.

Do you have ceratoconus by any chance?

Yes. Looks like we had the same line of events: ceratoconus, hard contacts, grafts?

I had to quit the contacts a couple of years after the grafts [got allergic to them Confused]. Had my first phakic implant about 18months ago, NEVER looked back! Big%20smile

finances just stop me from doing anything more at this stage. the "sills" from the grafts are just too much for comfortable contact lens wear (or at least they were still so last year... gotta give lenses a try again)
