I ride with Justin pretty often. He is currently training for Iron Man 2009 and has a silver medal from the WP time trials a couple years ago. His wife Karen manages Club 100 Cape Town.

Shop-wise, he used to work at Bowmans and then opened his own, Bike Haven in Muizenburg before moving to BMT in Stellenbosch after repeated break-ins in Muizenburg Main Road.

He looks after a lot of bikes in the South Peninsula area, particularly triathletes bikes. Kent Horner who recently returned from the Olympics is a regular customer. I'm currently riding a bike he built for himself, which you can have a look at here.

Justin is a mate of mine, but even if he wasn't I wouldn't go anywhere else for bike repairs.

But how much mechanic work does a triathlete need?

Their bike handling is better than their mechanical abilities....  they need a good mechanic.

How many triathletes are out there? In stellenbosch.

Tim Don' date=' Conrad Stoltz, Marie Rabie, etc list it as home....

And surely the cost of a speedo and tekkies are minimal compared to bike stuff. So they should try and get another brand or 2.

They probably stock Orca, 2XU, etc.  I spent R5k+ on 2 Orca items last week.  Running shoes, R1k a pop, 2-3 pairs a year.

only thing fishy i could sense was the smell wafting from kalk bay harbour directly past the police station opposite.

i'm sorry it had to close, he ran a good shop and is a top guy.

Kent didn't go to Olympics. Hendrik De Villiers did but pulled out sick. Kent was in the B selection squad.

Hendrik never left SA.  Kent in B?  Did he race ITU??

Thought Kent was now a German?  Or was it only Claude who defected?

At least an ex-SA booitjie won gold.

HI there

I would suggest you go to The Cape Runner - there are a few branches around!

we do have runnning shoes, but we only stock NB. The Cape Runner has a variety of brands to chose from.

Hope this helps!

cheers

Hi Cornelis

The manager then had a serious medical condition , which would account for the poor feedback. She has moved . There is now a very good team working there. Best to pop in again and see the progress. Thanks for the criticism. We see it in a constructive manner.

Regards BMT team.
