Hype Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Sure you can't win 7 TDF's without being something special. I'd say Armstrong is the greatest TDF rider ever. From my point of view though (and I think it's the same with most that rate Merckx more highly), Merckx won almost all the major classic/tours that can be won. Armstrong didn't even ride many of them nevermind win them. Obviously we'll never know but if Merckx had only focused on the TDF he might have also won 7 ... or more.
E1A104 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Agreed - To date la is the greatest TDF rider we have seen but his record stands a slight chance of being broken but the record that Merckx set will never be broken simply because todays riders tend to focus on 1 or 2 races only ..... and then we have his record on the track to consider and all of this only on CAMPAGNOLO - need I say more!!
E1A104 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Naaaa - I rode with him just the other day and it was most definitely DA ......
nkob Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Eddy Merckz openly admitted to using drugs......but the other guys probably used them too. I'm in the market for a fishing rod. Any brands i should consider??
Delgado Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Que pasa hombre?........fershur haj usss dooora asi!!
Guest Big H Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Seek as ye may, Kempekkernoglia could not even make MTB thingy's, they definitely do not have the technical ability to make decent reels. If you want a decent reel buy Daiwa!!!!!! If you want component interchangeability buy Shimano!!!!!
Windbreaker Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I feel a slight change to an Armstrong vs Merckx debate. They cannot be compared. Merckx wins hands down. Merckx was "gifted" his wins ...
TitusTi Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Just to make sure we keep with the topic here and all.
Guest Big H Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The so called K@K fishing reels must then be the reason you only see them at the rental shops where hundreds and hundreds of fishermen rent tackle in Vilancoulo, Ugezi Tiger Lodge and Pemba Beach Hotel.
E1A104 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 BigH: Best to just let it go, forgive & forget WindMaker, methinks he just needs a wooden spoon to play with.
