fatcyclist Posted December 13, 2006 Share I recently changed vehicles from a hatchback to a bakkie, and need to find some of those clamp things you can secure your forks in. Someone is making me a bracket to mount the bikes easier on the back, but where do we find those clamps? Its the units that almost look like a front hub with skewer. AndreZA Posted December 13, 2006 Share I think Hold Fast makes them. I'm sure it's just the normal roof carrier type you can find at any bike shop.
Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted December 13, 2006 Share fatty, hoekom het jy my nie vertel. R2S2 Posted December 13, 2006 Share They are freely available but seemed to be more expensive than I thought they'd be. Got the best deal at Cajees in the end.

TitusTi Posted December 13, 2006 Share Don't mount bikes sideways if you use them! I've seen a few forks snap because of it, and the warranties don't get honoured.

Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted December 13, 2006 Share What I did as well is to "pop rubber" a "U" thingy on the round part were the wheel runs. I use a tjoop through that "eye-lit" (think thats what you call), have the back wheel against it and absolute no movement of the frame. Its actually pulling it down onto the cab.
