I did attend the meeting in a stuffy non-airconditioned room that lasted close to 3 hours. Probably the best attended CGC meeting in the last 10 years

Some hot air was expelled but nothing much happened least of all people being fired or asked to resign.

The stolen funds are apparently being repaid on a monthly basis.

The amount that was allegedly misappropriated and now accounted for in CGC's accounts totals slightly over R 260k.

As far as I'm aware no charges were laid although the lady in question has apparently signed an admission of guilt and a repayment agreement.

What she done is called "struggle bookkeeping" where you pay yourself what you think you are worth and overtime as well because nobody is interested in what happens within CGC as long as they receive their paperwork and licenses from the office.

Must say the manner in which the money was taken was done brilliantly to fool CA's and others for a while.

Now to see how many of those who had strong and stern words for the executive will actually take up the challenge and volunteer to work on the CGC executive once the AGM comes around next year.

I thought the ANC has taught me some tricks but lately I am astounded by what I see happening within the cycling fraternity on and off the bike, one wonders how far back this goes within the halls of cycling.

And how long is that gonna take to repay the outstanding balance, forever? Hope they punched her with some serious interest.

But why are no charges being laid? Mallo/Thug can you shed some light?

As far as I understand the CGC Executive consulted the commercial crimes division who looked at attaching her assets. As she didn't have any' date=' they felt it would serve no purpose in pursuing criminal charges as she had agreed to repay the funds.

What happens if she reneges on repayment ? I've no idea !!

Close to 5 years and NO interest is being charged.
