How does the the Dome2dome compare to 94.7? i mean the difficulties of the climbs not the distance. Are there grazy climbs in the 94.7 that was in the Dome2dome as well?

94,7 is not that difficult but if you are not fit you gonna k*k on the n14 there is a long uphill it's not that steep but at that distance youre tired and that make it a bit of a hassle

Less hills on 94.7 and more adrenalin.

You can get into town and then halfway up to Randburg before realising you're screwed.

The climb to Lion & Cheetah park is a bit rude.

N14 is 3 or 4 long rollers then when you get off you turn into the wind on that 270 degree slip road.  Then you need momentum down the hills to get up the other side for the last 10kms back.

Tough race but helped by being that bit shorter than most.

Lets hope the weather wont make it any tougher... if the wind is like the midvaal cycle challenge.. i think i might just fall over on die!!!

As a comparison on altitudes the Dome looks easier with the 94.7 that starts on a llllloooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnng drag up the M1.  The D2D has a "downhill" start.

I think what makes the D2D so tough is the distance and the fact that you don't have long descents where you can recover as with the 94.7

The D2D has a tough finish with a 3.5km climb/drag at 3.3% gradient going to the line..........

D2D is a psycopathic race! 94.7 is a chilled Sunday cruise in comparrison! Just do not stop at the booze stalls or you will land up in Olivedale clinic!!!!?

First off, welcome to the Hub Di.

Definitly need lots of beer at the finish. I'm thinking one at Vet won't be a bad option either. Wink  See as it is after the giant pothole at the corner of Morray and Cumberland that I saw a Mini disappear into yesterday.

"lost their brakes"

Do road bikes have brakes? What on earth for?
