What it says on the outside on the plastic, HP, Dell, Toshiba, whatever, should make no difference to your decision. These days pretty much everything inside laptops come from Intel, with the exception of the display which is sometimes Intel, ATI, or now and then nVidia. Hard drives comes from either Western Digital or Maxtor (think they are the same company now), or Seagate.

 

Shop according to specs and price, not brand.

True, same applies to desktops, but the catch is the service you get afterwards.

None of the above.   Dell or HP.  Hp has amazing battery life.
