It's fine, if you want a really sucky time whose only redeeming feature is a decent coffee shop that does good soup.

 

& u know ND will insist you ride on the dirt, even when there's a perfectly good tar surface runnin parallel 10 metres away.

Oxman and I are doing a short fast loop (short this Saturday, 9th May).

 

I should be picking up a pair of shoes on Sat arvie so will prob'ly want to test them on Sunday and how far depends on how bad the legs feel.

 

On 23rd Ox is bringing his second biks and other bike pilot for an itroductory ride with the slow bunch and I will be along as a casual observer.

 

We can organise a few longer rides after Bela-Bela.

 

Right now, I'm resting.

Good on you bud, enjoy those shoes, just remember to clean the gumboots , as they tend to get a little heavy after a couple of rides, with the miggies and stuff stuck to them.

GOv2.0. Dude, you're psyched about my shoes. Specialized no less. They still going to be at the end of the same legs so I can't see any logical reason why they would make a difference.

 

The feet just plug into the pedals. The legs move the feet. It's like having the same pistons in the car but a different conrod. No difference in performance.

 

I'll have to go out with you and get some secret training. The kid is killing me with his speed these days.

Slave, let me tell you a little secret :

GO wears Specialized shoes - and we know how fast he is

Trubie wears Specialized shoes - and he's almost as fast as GO (I think)

Indigo Kid wears Specialized shoes - and I can do 50km/h downhill

Slave has changed his name and is getting Specialized shoes so imagine how fast you going to be.

Shawn, dude, pulling up is something I tried with those toe clips and trust me when I say it hurts my legs big time. I know about it but have never practiced the skill because I'm too much of a softie to endure the pain. I usually only do it when doing and acceleration from standstill and then only till I get to a comfy speed. Looks like I'll have to learn a new skill. ()

 

The pedals on the bike go round and round, same as before. Same legs, same cranks, just with a different connector.

 

But it's nice to see Trubes having an anxiety attack. (it's the only attack I can give hime 'cause he's just too strong for me.)

Slave, it will make a difference, you'll see once you have them on. The pull is very different. Wait when you get a light bike, the Trubes will be in trouble
