When I did my first ever road ride with my younger boet and my best friend on my R1000 Game MTB, I got dropped on the first hill on our planned 40km loop. They actually had to turn around and come fetch me.

Humilty is not always in my nature and I love to compete so when we got back home, I took a shower and went and bought myself an RC4000 for R5000.

I promised myself that these two okes at least will NEVER again turn around for me.

I LOVE the mountains now and still working on strenght and thus not quite there yet and that is why I love SBR.

I have turned around for both of them in the recent past hehehe smiley17.gif

So short answer is YEAH Baby bring em on smiley20.gif

K you chop. Are you riding up and down Camaro? You silly child.smiley2.gif Been there done that. Will be doing it again sometimein not too distant future.

Come ride with me one arvie. I can introduce you to a few hills around our area that means you have to go to the reserve a bit less often.

Andy, hills hurt dude. I can't like pain! Especially my own.

Wild horses could not drag me away from SBR smiley4.gif

Will be there even in the rain Bit scared of thunder up in the hills but no ja.

Will see when we get to the day

Jawellno fine Predictor.

You are a hard core dude and scare me witless. I agree, hills are an important part of training by is rain really such an important component?

I guess that's why I missed my three hour 94.7 time by 14 minutes. Apparettly, I lack the dedication it takes to be a top cyclist.

It's soo easy to get stuck in and be content with mediocrity. (I speak of myself here.) Easier to stay home and sleep late. Easier to ride outside the reserve and take on lesser hills.

Well put! Very well put!! I love SBR, but that is widely known already!

Rain is a big part of training. What you going to do if it rains halfway throught the Fast One? You got to know how to handle your bike in the wet.

Ok, so the day is fast approaching. Who does our group consist of?

Predictor, have you ridden with any of these guys or Nance before?

Oi! I've also ridden with the Predictor dude! He's strong!

Actually...of all of the named convicts here, the only chap I have not had the pleasure of meeting/riding with is Andyr249...

Soo looking forward too meeting all of you and when I did the short loop I only ended up talking to Trubie right at the end.

i did my first SBR last year Dec and ended up pushing my Bike on the last hill while cramping smiley11.gif.

Thus I can say that SBR makes anyone strong smiley20.gif

Andy, I learned that the elements help level the playing fields

I learned to ride between 09:00 and 15:00 come rain or wind and must say it has helped me a lot in IM and Epic.

Like Grey said did the short loop once before
