Off line for one day and it seems like I missed a week smiley5.gif

Howzit Grey missed you on the weekend but sure we will meet soon.

As I said before my training is for ATTA and I have to do just over 3000m of climb for the day so SBR rocks smiley32.gif

I missed the actual day you guys want to go long is it Sat or Sun?

Would like to join the group and get some good time in saddle.

This time I will bring the road bike smiley16.gif

Will do SBR on the other day.

Andy I normally do double in just under 6 as I truly do very little zone 4 or 5 riding on these days.

All about doing the hills at the end of a 5 hour effort and getting as close to race day riding as I can

Should be a little more connected today as I am in the office and not at the customer all day

Predictor we are riding long on Saturday. I have suggested we ride part of the fast one route, notably, from Rietvlei along to the lido, doing the longer loop throuh Walkerville, then past the cheese factory and out to SBR, pass the western entrance, Henley and home.

Kid thinks Heidelberg is the way to go.

The plan is to leave from Rietvlei at 05h00. The route should be about 100 km.

Another suggestion is that GO knows the roads around our area probably better than most so maybe we should cut out Walkerville, and do Klipriver past meyersig a la Fast One, ride to Meyerton along the actul route and then head on home.

GO, you want to give us any opinions on this one. If we know the route well, we can plan the race stragedy better.

I have an agenda to do fast one in about 2hr45 to 2hr 50. Looks like I will need all the help I can get.

It is planned for Saturday.

Predictor, I would like to join you sometime for the double SBR loop.

Are you going to do two laps this Sunday?

OX, now this is overdose smiley18.gifsmiley18.gifsmiley18.gifsmiley18.gif

Predictor & Andy, let me just highlight something for Saturday's ride.

It's a ride so we normally go as fast as the slowest ride (aka ME), it's not a mad dash to see how fast we can do 100km.

GreyOwl has ridden with us a number of times so he already knows what to expect, normally he just goes up & down the hills (almost forgot that hills are bad) straights a few times while he "waits" for ME.smiley4.gifsmiley4.gif

So what was your time around the SBR this weekend Andy' date=' Kieran?

And Nance. Only saw very late on Friday (ok,was actually very early on Saturday.) that there was an SMS from you. I went short on Saturday expecting you to drop buy for your fitment. [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif[/img]

The offer is good anytime.

Thanks Slave, you're a good man smiley31.gif

See you on Saturday arvie then smiley4.gif

... that's of course if you survive the Saturday morning ride with the nutters smiley2.gif

Looks like that dubious distinction will belong to me.

Maybe I will be able to play catch up in the lter stages of the ride since I am just a wee bit distance fitter than Kieran.

While I have your attention, I want to remind all of you who ride in the south, to exercise extreme caution while riding the loops.

Another fellow cyclist was bike jacked yesterday. They got his week old bike, cell phone and Money. I don't know exactly where but it sounds like the same group still operting on the steps. Brett had dropped out of a group of three and they jacked him very closely behind the other two who had opened a gap.

PLEASE, be alert out there for your own safety. Be aware at all times and FFS, stay in a group wherever possible. Do not go anywhere near the steps alone.

(Maybe we need to organise an ambush and catch these creeps since the cops are doing zip.)

Another mate of mine was also jacked at the steps on sunday doing 45km/h on his TT bike going down the steps. Was bumped off and now has broken ribs and a messed shoulder smiley7.gif

I think the last few kms you guys will be towing me a long for sure ha ha! Can't wait to get some distance into the legs though smiley20.gif

Hell yeah! smiley4.gif wandering around Park Meadows I decide to pop in a Cash Converters (very bored!!!) and guess what I stumble across smiley4.gif MY helmet at a BARGAIN price of... R50.00 as well as a few other odds and ends so kindly removed from mommy's car smiley7.gif at least my pip will be safe again

Sound like you are sure that is your stuff, or at least sure it was removed from your mom's car. Reportit to the police and have them investigated for dealing in stolen goods.

How many helmets did they have? I'd like to get a "new" one.
