Too true. There was some smiley8.gif trying to rip the hubbers with a bike yesterday. What a chopper. The stoopid tosser was trying to resell a bike at huge profit to the hubbers and well, let's just say that it was like having a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Anyhoo, it's goooooood to be back. Had a really good ride yesterday. Managed to do 34 k's and I felt much better than I thought I would, considering how crap I been feeling for the last ten days.

Tomorrow I'm gonna try out the slower bunch and see how we go for about 50 k's. Greyowl, we still on for that one dude?

Then come Sunday, I've got another dude we gonna try about 90 k's or so. Anyone wanna join in, you're welcome. Spas09, you working or doing water polo this Sunday? The weather chaps reporting that we may see some sunshine this weekend. Yeeeee haaaa, the rain was really starting to depress me.

Dam, it feels great to ride again.

WW. You may be good lookin' but you're nuts. MTB riding in the mud. Shyte, that's just insane.

I'd rather just be a roadie poefter. Least I get to stay clean.

Spas09, good luck with your race Sunday. Hope you have a good one. Sounds like you're in for a rough weeken, working 24 hour shifts and junk like that. Eish!

I need all the beauty sleep I can get.smiley36.gif

We are very fortunate to be living in an area I call "my back yard".

When you do the Loop again, just glance over your left shoulder around the Rand Water property. You will see MTB'ers playing in the dirt. When you do the Lido - Nampak stretch, those little "koppies" on the right. They are in there as well. I sometimes see more MTB'ers in those parts than on the stairs....

Very quiet and safe. Got a 60Km route all on gravel except for 3 k's of tar.

Ja, you do get dirty but it?s all part of the fun...

YOU ALL RIDE SAFE THIS WEEKEND -- PLEASE!

Must try this MTB thing sometime, enjoyed the Xcounty running many moons ago, so maybe this could also be some fun.

droodt - this makes me think of the druid as in Asterix...

Thanks, you not racing this w/end?

Hey Nuwbie. You obviously like Asterix.

May fave cartoon character. There is some awesome humour in those comics.

These Romans (MTB'ers) are crazy.

100% right

Reckon I resemble Obelix in some way though.

Me thinks more and more smiley36.gif all Romans (Cyclists) are crazy - just reading the hub, sort of confirms it most of the times

Not racing this weekend.

The next three weekends races all seem to be going in the same direction!!

I'm chosen the the Dischem Ride for Site and then the Argus.

MENU

Saterday  -  MTB tomorrow (hopefully 3 - 4 hours).

Sunday   -  +/- 100k's, hopefully with a group I pickup at the Swartkoppies / Klipriver morning start.

droodt, what is your planned route for Sunday?

I have another bud and we may wanna join you unless you'reone of those superfast dudes and we can' t keep up.

You got space in your bus for two more?

Is this an established gropup ride /route?

Nuwbie - not sure what my start is, will check though.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

S2L - I just ride with the group that goes straight at the Lido up Walkerville hill. From there you start "interrogating" the riders, enquiring as to which route they're taking.

Should be a smallish group this weekend, just look out for me. I'll be on a blue Trek, Blue Helmet and if my wife?s washed my cycling clothes an HP top and black shorts and ja, maybe built a little like Obelix....

If you wanna leave earlier, I?m always keen..
