Ox and I are planning a nice slow ride for Monday. Maybe 80 to 90 k's depending on where we meet and depart from. This will be dictated by who rides along.

 

Care to join in. Route will prob'ly be down steps, out past SBR, through Henley and home again.

 

 

 

Saturday and Sunday, I'm doing the short loop with the fast bunch with a bit extra thrown in to take my route to 60 k's both days.

 

Monday, nice slow recovery ride for about 80 to 90 k's.

Tyx, the extra bit that I do is also up the steps but instead of turning on JG Strydom, I will continue on Klipriver until Swartkoppies which gives me the extra to take it up to 60.

Unfortunately Murphy got to me and I won't be riding tomorrow, got a runny nose and feel crappy so I'll be staying in bed.

 

Enjoy the ride guys hopefully I'll see you guys on the weekend.

Pretty much Nuwbie. I am still debating whether or not to wear a pair of tracksuit pants to keep the legs warm, but they are not really the issue. The nose, ears, arms and hands are the bits that seem to feel the cold more than anything else.

 

I have found a way to fold my bandanna to keep my ears warm so that pretty much solves that problemo. Only really the arms that are stil an issue so yeah, I'll take you up on that offer.

 

Kid is also out now and Nish4 is in. GO also out. So, small group for tomorrow, but WTF, it will still be a good ride.

 

Kid, Vit C, rest, and what works for me is to jump into bed with a tracksuit and sweat it out. Stay warm. Have some chicken soup too. It won't cure you but it won't hurt you either.

Thats cool Narco. I think it be safer to say we'll be there around 7h30 to 7 35 and since it's likely to be rather brass monkeys, I would not want you waiting around and freezing your posterior off.

 

Maybe I should prep an SMS and advise when we hit Butchers. that would be about a ten minute warning.

Monday, Agteros and I are taking a gentle ride out to SBR, past the entrance and then turning up towards Henley and then heading North back to Alberton.

 

The distance from Xumbugs out and back again will be just over 80 km's.

Nice sprint there Shawn A...I still dont get why we sprint for the stop though? Can anyone explain this? I see everyone goes bonkers for it!

Maybe it's because you see red (the stop sign) and we know you drawn to red things ???
