hey

i ride mtb and do about 15 to 25 km each time. I push hard when i ride standing when going up hills and peddling my a$$ of every where else, popping wheelies and jumping off any obstacle i come across, punch every berm as hard as i can and pump every ditch i see . If i have waited three days and ride i feel like superman and can ride for hours but the next day my flow is gone and the lactic acid feels like it is all over my muscles burning. I get tired fast and i struggle to breath and get a headache. What am i doing wrong ? and what can i do to help this ? I eat half an energy bar before and drink rehydrate the night before. smiley19.gif help

Maybe just ride more often!

alcohol ? i have a feeling a glass of wine the night before could be the culprit come to think of it.

I have the same problem. Commute all week, then my legs are dead by the weekend! Dead

It is slowly getting better.

Perhaps the answer lies here.

Rest is a wonderful thing for tired bodies.

I try to mix low and high intensity rides. Always start out slow and tune into my body. If it feels good, I push, if not, I take a low intensity ride.

Your body needs recovery time so take it easy sometimes.

Don't ride so hard All the time... It's good to work on stamina as well then you won't feel the burn as much after a hard ride and your recovery time will improve... It's best to balance out the stamina rides and hard rides.. But I think, ideally, you should 1st build a stamina base.. Then ride hard.. that way the hard rides will be more enjoyable, your recovery will be faster... and general fitness will be better
