actually i started at 15, quickly dropped to 12 then fought valiantly to keep it above 10, lost that battle and succombed to crawling up at around 9-10km/h

Greatful that nobody walked past me, that would have been shocking

Disapprove

U think that sucks - we did the Ian Kernick 200 yesterday - all was goin well, ate, drank - we all pulled etc ... then on Kliprivier up to Panorama I could hardly climb -- rode at a Glaciers pace, blood sugar just dropped, I almost walked while the guys waited for me....

after some jelly babies at the top ......... we pushed home fast !!! Thumbs%20Up

There's some cricket gear for sale somewhere on the hub. Maybe you can trade your bike in. Eat a few pies and you'll fit right in with the Proteas.

Pies are Eweps thing. The proteas are fueled by KFC.

Maybe, but I think someone should keep an eye on Biff. That guy eats anything. As for Boucher and Kallis I think those boys are tucking into more than their fair share of chicken.

Then just don't ride Kloof Nek! It's a horrible climb when you're fit, let alone unfit tooHot!!!!

You won't catch me dead on that climb (or maybe ONLY dead on that climb) for a while whilst I find my fitness again...

I was doing 9km/h up Kloofnek on sat......

Shocked Confused

did kloofnek on monday morning after 5 intervals against the wind.

my min was 8.9km/h and my max was 12.9.

that is one steep hill.

So i guess either i am just as slow as you or that is about the speed that an average rider goes up kloofnek.

What say the other average riders on the hub. whats the normal average speed for the normal average rider, and whats the speed for the elite riders ?
